Illegal Dance 5th March 8pm

I have collaborated with Street Dance group - Avant Garde for quite a few years now and our longest talked-about-project will be premiered this Saturday. Called ‘Illegal Dance’ it is a Hip Hop/Contemporary dance narrative set in a world of dictatorship and darkness, where the rule of law seeks to suffocate every basic human right. The people rebel and actively break one particular prohibition and this is where our story begins. It is entirely and purely coincidental that the revolutions in North Africa are going at the moment - in case you draw such a conclusion. I worked on publicity for the show (designed print & online media - see below), also wrote text and within the show, mine is the narrator’s voice.TIME: 8pm TIX: £12 / £8 {http://www.illegaldance.com} PLC: Stratford Circus, Theatre Sqr, E15 1BX

I Love Rockwell...

It is the font I used on the publicity of the 14th Tale and is what I generally begin designing with. Recently, I used the typeface for a series of postcards LEAT, a HIV Awareness organisation based in South London. Currently they are working on a series of info packs for church leaders and my task was the put it together. See below!

Sections Poejazzi Flyer

This flyer was inspired by something that I saw quite a while ago, I liked its use of hand drawn illustrations and digital painting. The idea sat with me for roughly a year until this show came about.I don't wanna post to the full flyer here, try and pick up a hard copy on the streets, more importantly, COME TO THE SHOW!

Poejazzi Flyer

Currently working on the flyer for Poejazzi's Udderbelly Takeover on the 1st of July. I will be sketching painting and drawing to create these, the show will feature Youngun, Benin City and yours truly, but here is the banner I created, bright colors to suggest vibrancy and none of the darkness, we save that for the mic!

Frantic Assembly

Just finished modifications to the New Frantic Assembly flyer.
.

I played art director at the photoshoot and the models were willing and able. The first instance of the Frantic Ignition project was rolled out across London, I modified it for the second instance - rolled out in Plymouth.

X - phi

My introduction to philosophy was not Bertrand Russell - that happened later. It was Terry Pratchett. In everything I have read by him, which is almost everything he has written, I find philosophy in the comments he makes on society, effortlessly lacing schools of thought and sci fi AND fantasy into his characters. Yet the characters are so down to earth to stereotypically HUMAN, you can smell their poo. Now Experimental Philosophy  started in Oxford University. Some krazy kids got tired of the image associated with philosophy - white haired balding man sat in an old leather armchair by a fire place, thinking - and sought to shake things up. They shortened the name (a sure sign of energy) and created a logo for xphi. I thought the logos (click here or here) were pretty lame so came up with this.
